3 Core Problems Caregivers Face

Caregiving is one of the most demanding roles a person can take on. Here are the three challenges I see most often — and how I help you move through them.

01

Overextending Without Boundaries

Many caregivers take on far more than is sustainable, saying yes to everything while quietly running on empty. I help you recognize when you're overworking, establish healthy limits, and create a caregiving rhythm that protects your energy for the long haul.

02

Inadequate Planning for Present and Future Care

Too often, caregivers navigate day-to-day without a clear plan — leaving both themselves and their loved ones vulnerable. I work with you to build a practical, forward-thinking care strategy that addresses immediate needs while preparing for what lies ahead.

03

Waiting Too Long to Ask for Help

Pride, guilt, or simply not knowing where to turn can cause caregivers to struggle in silence for far too long. I create a safe, judgment-free space where asking for support is not a sign of weakness — it's the first step toward lasting relief.

The Reality of Caregiving

The Numbers Don't Lie

Millions of Americans are quietly carrying the weight of caregiving — often at great cost to their own health and well-being.

63M

Unpaid Caregivers

Over 63 million Americans provide unpaid care to an adult or child with special needs — the backbone of our long-term care system.

61%

Experience Burnout

Nearly 6 in 10 caregivers report high levels of emotional stress, exhaustion, and burnout — yet most never seek support.

$522B

In Unpaid Labor

The estimated annual economic value of unpaid caregiving in the U.S. — work that goes largely unrecognized and unsupported.

40%

Report Depression

Caregivers are twice as likely to experience depression compared to non-caregivers, with many going undiagnosed.

72%

Neglect Their Own Health

Nearly three-quarters of caregivers report neglecting their own medical care because they are too focused on others.

1 in 5

Are Working Caregivers

One in five American workers is also a caregiver, balancing job demands with caregiving responsibilities — often without workplace support.
